I cannot install XJTAG on my Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 ® System.

XJTAG is only supported under Windows XP ® (service pack 3 or higher), Windows Vista ® and Windows 7 ® at the moment. Please upgrade to one of these operating systems before attempting to install XJTAG, and then apply the latest Service Pack for your operating System. Service Packs are available from Microsoft Support.

Installing a new version of XJTAG can sometimes result in the driver for an existing XJLink needing to be reinstalled

When XJTAG installs a new version of the driver for the XJLink, existing XJLinks may need to have the driver reinstalled for them. When you plug the XJLink in, the following dialog appears:

Select No on this first screen, since the drivers are already installed on your machine. Then click Next to go to this next screen:

Select Install the software automatically, then click Next again to install the driver. The driver should now be automatically copied and then the final screen displayed:

When XJTAG is installing on XP, it says the driver has not passed Windows Logo testing.

XP Installation Warning

This message means that Microsoft has not tested the XJLink driver to certify it as Windows Logo compliant. We have, however, extensively tested the driver on XP. You can safely click "Continue Anyway". The XJLink driver will not destabilise your system.
