XJTAG is seeking a Business Development Manager with experience in the electronics industry to be based in Germany, working from their home office. This newly created role will see you developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing distributors and technology partners, focussing on Germany. Your mission: to continue XJTAG’s sales growth by supporting client visits and technical introductions as well as contributing to our highly effective technical workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Progress business opportunities to closure.
  • Maintain and develop existing relationships with distributors and technology partners.
  • Support technical introductions, customer visits, workshops, and similar.
  • Work with the VP Business Development EMEA to progress and drive business forecasts.
  • Define and agree yearly target sales figures.
  • Identify and contact potential new distributor and technology partners.
  • Close agreements and develop new business.
  • Provide commercial and technical introductions.
  • Gather feedback from existing and potential customers.
  • Use your business understanding to help develop new products and features.
  • Travel to client sites as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent university / FH degree in a science or engineering subject, preferably Electronic Engineering.
  • Fluent spoken and written German and English. Additional European languages advantageous.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the electronics industry.
  • Proven track record in business development / sales.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop new business.
  • Strong, repeatable, and reliable sales methodology to plan and develop sales.
  • Proven understanding of sales metrics and to use them to build and plan for success.
  • Enthusiasm and drive.
  • Willing to be driven by customer requirements.
  • Brilliant communication skills.
  • Excellent selling skills, built on trust and reliability.
  • Self-motivated and someone who takes the initiative.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and schedule own workload.
  • Good team player.
  • Flexible, with the ability to take on new challenges.
  • Able to work from a home office in Germany with a high-speed internet connection.
  • Able to travel abroad, sometimes at short notice.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Experience of microprocessors, hardware debug systems, and JTAG would be advantageous.
  • Experience of embedded system development, board design, software writing and debugging is helpful but not essential.
