Hardware Engineer
XJTAG is looking for a Hardware Electronics Engineer to work as part of a small team developing a range of JTAG solutions. These will be implemented in two ways: firstly, by developing new hardware products; and secondly by working with a wide range of devices, including FPGAs and Embedded Processors, directly on customers' circuit boards.
The role requires a wide range of skills and knowledge, including the following:
- JTAG
- FPGA design (including knowledge of VHDL and/or Verilog)
- Embedded processors
- Reading and understanding schematics
- PCB and circuit design
- Debugging digital circuits
- Programming in both high- and low-level languages
The successful candidate will have 1-2 years experience, ideally in testing, debugging and design work, along with a willingness to acquire new skills as required. They must be able to work on their own and as part of a team, and be able to think laterally when solving problems. Previous experience developing a product through to manufacture is desirable, but not essential.

Business Development Manager
XJTAG is looking for a business development manager to help continue sales growth of the XJTAG Development System throughout Europe and the rest of the world.
The role will require you to maintain and develop existing relationships with distributors and technology partners, offering support with technical introductions, customer visits, exhibitions and seminars in order to progress ongoing business opportunities until closure.
You will progress and drive business forecasts based on previously agreed target figures, and define and agree new yearly target figures as required.
You will responsible for identifying potential new distributor and technology partners worldwide, making contact, establishing relationships, closing agreements and developing new business, providing commercial and technical introductions and attending meetings as necessary.
You will be expected to gain feedback from existing and potential customers in order to help develop new products and features to allow business development and growth.
Qualifications:
- Good university degree in Electronic Engineering, although other science graduates will be considered.
Skills required:
- Previous experience in the electronics industry is essential, along with a proven track record in sales
- Fluency in at least three languages
- Enthusiasm and drive
- Willingness to be driven by customer requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Self motivation and initiative
- Ability to plan, schedule and prioritise workload
- Good team player
- Flexible approach and the ability to take on new challenges
- Holder of valid driving license
- Able to travel worldwide, sometimes at short notice
Desirable skills:
- Experience of hardware debug systems – ideally JTAG
- Experience of microprocessors and microcontrollers
- Experience of embedded system development incorporating board design, writing code, testing and debugging.
Salary: Basic £45k - £50k
OTE £70k - £80k
