Getting started with XJTAG

Install the Latest Software

Install the XJTAG software on to your PC by downloading the latest version of the software from the Downloads (www.xjtag.com/support/downloads/) page on our website.

If you don’t have an existing account, click ‘Register’ to create a new account.

Connect your hardware

Before using the XJTAG software, connect your XJLink hardware to the PC using the supplied cables and adaptors.

Check your Licence

Most controllers are shipped with an active temporary licence and should work immediately. You can check the licence using XJLink Manager.

  1. Run the XJLink Manager application from the Windows Start menu.
    To get started, launch XJLink Manager
  2. XJLink Manager should now display the licence details for the XJLink.

  3. If no licence is displayed, you need to add one. Select the XJLink and then click the ‘Add Licence’ button.

  4. Enter your authorisation code and click OK.

    If you do not have an authorisation code contact your XJTAG sales representative to receive one or email support@xjtag.com.

Review the Tutorials

Each of the XJTAG software tools has a tutorial to work through using the XJDemo board (if supplied).

Get up to speed with the tools as quickly as possible by working through the tutorials.

You can launch these from the Start page quick link or the Help menu.
