ASIC Design Services recently played host to an overseas visitor from the UK’s XJTAG, with the two companies teaming up to present a series of workshops around South Africa on boundary scan technology.
The popularity of BGA and CSP packages accelerated the adoption of Boundary Scan test and JTAG standard has led to new thinking of design, simulation, debugging and testing, developed together. Not only can design engineers build manufacturing test systems, they can also shorten the product design cycle, by exploiting the natural synergies throughout the design cycle.
Innovative Cambridge technology business, XJTAG, is running a free boundary scan training workshop at the UK's Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry on June 12. The workshop aims to provide engineers with an introduction to boundary scan and to show how this innovative debug, test and programming process can be used throughout the product life cycle.
