Cloud Licensing

Cloud licensing is a subscription-based online licensing solution. It lets you share XJTAG software seamlessly between users anywhere with internet access. It’s available for selected XJTAG software-only products, which you can purchase as a subscription directly from our online Shop.

Cloud licensing is a simple and flexible licensing solution with no setup cost. You can purchase a subscription directly from our Shop and you will be emailed a licence key. Your team can then start using the software immediately – anywhere in the world.

Cloud licences are available on monthly or annual subscriptions. Licence seats can be shared between users, so you only need to purchase enough seats to cover your maximum concurrent usage.

A single licence key can be used by all staff globally, whether on-site or remote. All you need is an internet connection to access your licenced XJTAG products.

Your software licences are held on a cloud licensing server. Each subscription is split into licence seats, based on the quantity you purchase. Each seat represents one concurrent user.

The first time you run the application, you’ll be prompted to enter your licence key. The software will then contact the licensing server to check out a licence seat. If a seat is available, it will be assigned to you and temporarily unavailable to other users. When you close the application, the licence seat is released and becomes available again.

After the first use, future launches automatically check out and release a licence seat using the same licence key. Multiple instances of the application can run on a single PC while only using a single licence seat, and it will only be released once all instances are closed.

XJTAG’s cloud-licensed software connects to the licensing server at *.scale.10duke.com on port 443. This needs to be allowed through your company firewall rules.
