XJTAG is a world-leading developer of electronics testing products. We started with JTAG boundary scan systems, and have grown to provide a range of in-circuit-test, debugging and programming solutions to our customers all over the world.

We are looking for a responsible engineer who is motivated by continuous improvement to join XJTAG’s rapidly growing engineering team and take responsibility for supporting our customers use of our products through all stages of their journey. In this role, you will become expert in all aspects of XJTAG’s products and how it is implemented by customers. You will also spend time contributing to improving our products and supporting customers pre-sale to better. As in any small business, you will get involved in many different aspects of work and will enjoy the variety of work necessary for the business to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert on use and implementation of our products for our distributors and end customers
  • Handle competing priorities on short timescales and deliver exceptional customer service to requests for support
  • Improve product support documentation from successful resolution of customer issues, with a view to never receiving the same request for support twice
  • Collect, analyse and present customer needs to the rest of the business to ensure continuous improvement of our products

Requirements

  • A strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to question and understand complex issues
  • A basic understanding of digital electronics, FPGAs and embedded microprocessors
  • Experience of developing processes or documentation to better resolve customer problems
  • Awareness of electronics testing methodologies, including JTAG, and their relative merits
  • A methodical, customer-focussed approach to providing support for our products
  • Able to assess and manage time, risks and priorities
  • Evidence of dependable, proactive communication with other team members
  • Permission to work in the UK
